Cottonwood House Historic Site

Seasonal operation from mid-May to Labour Day. Open 7 days a week from 10 am to 5 pm. Produce for sale late July and August.

Cottonwood House is one of the last remaining roadhouses built in the 1860’s to offer accommodation, meals, hardware, and provisions to the travellers on their journey along the Cariboo “Waggon” Road to Barkerville or Quesnel.

Today, Cottonwood House Historic Site is a wheel chair accessible provincial site offering farm and heritage interpretation, accommodation, and food. Explore the antique machinery display, heritage buildings, artifacts and interpretive centre to experience the rich history of the Cariboo.
